PWP Growth Equity, Perella Weinberg Partners' Private Equity Strategy, is actively seeking a Director to join the New York based team. The Director will be part of an 11-person team who manages two private equity funds with aggregate commitments of $1.35 billion, focused on growth-oriented, lower middle market companies. PWP Growth Equity has a flexible investment mandate that allows for both minority and control investments across the consumer, services, and industrial sectors. PWP Growth Equity seeks to partner with existing owners and management teams, delivering capital in a variety of structures, while also providing the benefit of our team’s extensive experience to help companies execute on their growth objectives and plans for value creation.   • Assist with all aspects of new equity investments across various industries, including financial and business due diligence, industry diligence and analysis and arranging third-party debt financing
  • Manage and negotiate transactions including term sheets, definitive legal agreements and closings; partner with outside legal counsel, accounting/tax firms, and other third party diligence providers during this process (e.g., insurance/benefits, management background checks, IT and industry consultants)
  • Provide operational support to portfolio companies, which may include market analysis, business development, budgeting and forecasting, financings and recapitalizations and Board meeting preparation
  • Develop detailed periodic portfolio reporting for LPs
  • Oversee and train junior team members

Qualifications / Experience:

  • MBA degree from top-tier university
  • A minimum of four years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of two years of private equity experience
  • Proven track record of investment analysis and portfolio company responsibility
  • Prior experience executing and managing equity investments in the middle market
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and other advanced financial modeling tools
