Summer Analyst Responsibilities
Research Analysts at TPH engage in all aspects of equity, macroeconomic, and operational analysis that drive TPH research products, client interactions, and investment recommendations. Specific tasks include data accumulation and analysis, financial modeling, obtaining a comprehensive understanding of the energy space, and learning to efficiently utilize the various databases and third party services that influence TPH’s research products. Therefore, we value attention to detail, strong technical abilities, and self-motivated individuals. Analysts will support research teams across the energy subsectors including Oil Services, Exploration and Production, Midstream, Refining, Coal & Power, Integrated Majors and others; analysts will not be tied to one team in particular during their time at TPH.
Equity research involves significant interaction with public company management teams, investment fund professionals, and our internal Sales team. As such, we value maturity, interpersonal skills, and effective presentation skills. Time management is also important as analysts are often tasked with multiple assignments at one time. Finally, maintaining a collegial, dynamic, team-oriented culture is of the utmost importance at TPH and summer analysts will be judged on these values.
